vesakh

Udonthani, January 19, 2008 : The diocese of Udonthani organized the Eucharistic Celebration on the 75th birthday anniversary of the Most Rev. George Yod Phimphisan C.Ss.R., bishop of Udonthani Diocese, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Perpetual with priests, religious and the faithful.   Bishop George is grateful to all who joined him on the occasion of his birthday celebration.

He said that the priests, religious and the lay are they who gave him encouragement and inspiration and welcome him warmly wherever he goes. He mentioned of “Mae Tu-áÁčµŮé”  a parishioner who is generous and would walk up to him and hand him 100 baht. “It makes me feel that in spite of her old age she goes to every annual parish celebration. This makes me think that I am only 75, can I not continue to work!” the Bishop fondly said.

He continued to thank those who contribute to the success of the activities in the diocese. He said that the success was not due to him alone but the result of the collaboration of all. Bishop George implored God’s blessings for all and asked the parishioners to pray for him as well, and to continue to be an inspiration to one another.
